Portree Library is a modern and accessible facility located within the same building as Portree High School and Fingal Leisure Centre.
It offers a wide range of services including book and audiobook lending, magazines, internet access, printing, and photocopying. Regular activities include Scrabble, Lego, knitting, writing, Bookbug, parent and toddler sessions, craft events, and online programmes.
Portree Library is a bright and friendly space where people of all ages can read, learn, and connect.

From Portree centre, walk along Bridge Road towards Dunvegan Road. Turn right onto Dunvegan Road, then turn left. (approx. 10 mins).
From Portree centre, cycle along Bridge Road towards Dunvegan Road. Turn right onto Dunvegan Road, then turn left. (approx. 3 mins).
The nearest bus stop is at the High School (on request). Buses 56, 56X, 57A, 57C and 152 stop here. (1 min walk)
From the south, enter Portree via Viewfield Road. Slight left onto Dunvegan Road, then turn left at traffic lights. From the north, head south-east on A87. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Dunvegan Rd/A87. Turn right at the traffic lights.
