Portree Community Library is a bright and modern building and is well used by both members of the public and the pupils at the adjoining Portree High School. The library also forms part of the Fingal Centre with its swimming pool and its range of sports and social activities.

Bookbug

Saturday mornings, 1015-10:45. Regular Bookbug sessions bringing families together to enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes with babies, toddlers, and pre-school children.

LEGO Club where children develop skills through collaboration and building.

Scabble Club – Fridays, 14:00-16:00. Come to Portree Library every other Friday for a fun session of Scrabble.

ITea & Biscuits – Mondays, 1400-15:30. Need a hand getting to grips with a tablet, phone or laptop? Bring yours along to one of our informal sessions, or try out one of our iPads, and we’ll figure it out over a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. All events are free to attend and there’s no need to book.

You Time offering a variety of enjoyable activities—such as talks, fitness classes, and history sessions—designed to improve health, stimulate the mind, and provide fun for adults of all fitness levels.
