High Life Highland has today announced that a popular visitor attraction in the city will reopen its doors to the public for the first time since 20th March.
The Inverness Castle Viewpoint, which allows for 360-degree views around the City of Inverness and beyond, will be back to offer birds eye views from 11am on Friday 4th September.
The city attraction will be visited on Friday morning by local MSP Fergus Ewing, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy and Tourism, who will be in the area attending meetings.
Lesley Junor, Operations Manager at the visitor attraction commented, “We are very much looking forward to reopening the doors of the Castle Viewpoint to the public on Friday.
“The Inverness Castle Project has moved into a very important stage as the hoardings are put up around the grounds of the attraction as preparation work starts on the exciting redevelopments, part of which will be the view across the city from the top of the tower.
“We have worked hard to ensure that visitors to the top of the viewpoint can do so safely, in the knowledge that the location is COVID-secure, delivering on the various requirements outlined in the Scottish Government’s routemap.
“The team and I very much look forward to welcoming local residents and tourists back to a safe and secure attraction that will not disappoint.”
In order to comply with Scottish Government’s test and protect protocols, customers to the Inverness Castle Viewpoint will be required to book ahead for all visits and are advised that pre-lockdown “drop-in” entries will not be available.

“The outlook from the viewpoint down Loch Ness, across the Moray Firth and beyond are absolutely incredible and can’t be matched anywhere else in the Highlands, so it will be great to see people back at the top of the attraction, taking full advantage of the exclusive view.”
