Book Week Scotland returns to Highland libraries

High Life Highland libraries will have a huge range of activities for literary lovers this Book Week Scotland.

The annual celebration of books and reading takes place across the country between November 15 and 21.

From Fort William to Wick, HLH Principal Libraries Manager Julie Corcoran promises the week will have something for everyone.

She said: “This year’s theme is celebration and with our libraries once again open for visitors, that’s something we can all celebrate.

“We’ve got books sales, author visits, arts and crafts and a free Book Week Scotland book for people throughout the week, plus there will be special themed Bookbug Sessions, displays and mystery book bags for those looking for something different to read.”

High Life Highland libraries are free to join, giving you access to not just physical books, magazines, newspapers and computers, but thousands of titles through its online service too.

High Life Highlands runs 40 libraries and eight mobile libraries. To find your nearest library or sign up, visit www.highlifehighland.com/libraries or search Facebook to join the community.
