High Life Highland is delighted to announce its delivery of CIMSPA Accredited training sessions, in partnership with Active IQ.
The Badenoch and Strathspey Leisure Facilities Team are responsible for the set-up, management, and delivery of the programme, which covers the whole Highland region, which includes: Fraser Tulloch, Joshua Lee Brannan, Lee Beckwith, Luke Robinson and Ian Munro.
Fraser Tulloch, High Life Highland’s Facilities Manager for Badenoch & Strathspey Leisure Facilities Centres, said: “The driving force for High Life Highland to deliver its own CIMSPA Accreditations has hugely enhanced the opportunity to recruit locally and successfully upskill key members of staff.
“As such, the consistent delivery of adult, teen, and later-life programmes has been greatly improved, supported as well by NHS Scotland.
“Furthermore, Active IQ’s eLearning platform is key to supporting the tutors and learners who find barriers to commit to week-long intensive courses.
“An external visit in August 2023 awarded High Life Highland with the highest compliance and lowest risk rating, which the team are extremely proud to have received on the first-time round.
“The level of customer and business support Active IQ have given High Life Highland from day one has been outstanding – no question or problem goes without being answered, and the tutor support to run courses to the highest standard!”
Since becoming an approved training centre in June 2023, High Life Highland have successfully begun the delivery of three courses: Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 2 Indoor Studio cycling, and Level 3 Education & Training.
Fraser continued: “On behalf of High Life Highland, all involved Teams are looking forward to starting Phase Two, and the subsequent roll-out of three more satellite centres to spread the curriculum delivery and reduce overwhelming barriers in the Highlands such as travelling and accommodation costs.”
James Martin, High Life Highland’s Director of Sport, Leisure & Safeguarding, concluded: “High Life Highland is delighted to be offering CIMSPA Accredited training at Aviemore Community Centre in partnership with Active IQ.
“Upskilling, personal development, and progression of staff, are all key areas for High Life Highland covered within the Charity’s people values, and the delivering Team is looking forward to starting Phase Two in due time.”
