Massive apologies to everyone who tried to book Schools Out activities this morning. Due to unprecedented demand, we experienced technical difficulties that have caused problems with accessing the system and checking-out. In addition, our call centre has seen an influx of calls which has added to the inconvenience.
Our IT team have been working hard in the run up to the launch of the Schools Out programme to build a system that can cope with the usually expected high demand. However, this morning that demand far exceeded our expectations – which clearly demonstrates the immense popularity and need for these activities across the Highlands.
We know that some customers have been successful – with over 3,000 activities already booked by 9.00am. Towards the end of the morning we were pleased to see that the booking system had stabilised and online bookings were being processed normally.
For those who have missed out on booking activities due to high demand, please be assured that we are doing everything to increase the number of new activities within the programme over the coming days and weeks leading up to the holidays.
