Get those flares and platforms looked out because they’re stepping back in time at Dingwall Leisure Centre next weekend (22nd – 24th November) to celebrate its 50th birthday!
Kicking things off on Friday is a 70’s style roller disco as well as a good old fashioned military bootcamp circuits session – with 70’s inspired “dressing up” encouraged! And one lucky person could win a 50 year individual highlife membership in the big birthday raffle!
The weekend of the 22nd – 24th November marks the golden anniversary of the facility, which has been at the centre of the community since it was built in 1974. High Life Highland, operators of Dingwall Leisure Centre, want to encourage as many people as possible – highlife members and non-members – to come along and take part in a variety of fun activities or maybe try something new, with all the activities including classes and swimming FREE to everyone over the whole weekend.
Ian Goode, Leisure Manager at Dingwall Leisure Centre said: “We are hoping lots of people will come along on our anniversary weekend and help us to celebrate this milestone for Dingwall Leisure Centre. There is something for all ages to enjoy from yoga and indoor cycling to multi sports fun and games. We will also be running gym inductions and there will be a special teen gym session, all of which will be free, so this is great opportunity to come and take part in this celebration.
“Look out for some of our staff who will be dressed 70’s style and we hope our customers also take the opportunity to go vintage this weekend too!”
