High Life Highland is delighted to be hosting the Ideal Hut Show at Inverness Botanic Gardens and Nursery, from Saturday 30th July until Sunday 4th September 2016. The exhibition is part of the Festival of Architecture 2016, and has been touring round Scottish Botanic Gardens since May.
The exhibition is a headline event of the Festival and a key milestone in the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and has already been to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.
The quirky installation includes 18 garden sheds, transformed by top architects and designers from across the UK including Kelpies designer Andy Scott and known for the role in the design of the Scottish Parliament, Benedetta Tagliabue of Miralles Tagliabue.
Other highlights include a tartan hut and an ‘exploded axonometric’ which is just as dramatic as it sounds as well as the very poignant hut by the late David Mackay (1933 – 2014) which is an emotional reflection on the refugee crisis.
The is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Inverness and the Scottish Highlands to be able to visit and view these exciting transformed sheds, which will be sited in the Bught Project gardens, at Inverness Botanic Gardens and Nursery.
