Our aim is to help as many adults as possible in the Highlands discover the history and heritage of the area by providing access to original archive material. We hold events year round to encourage people’s interest in the history and heritage of the area. We regularly hold classes which introduce people to family history or local history and show them the wealth of information available to them in the archives. We attend Clan gatherings and Highland Games as well as organising events in the building, such as talks or exhibitions. We are keen to develop contacts with outside organisations as well as individuals in order to increase the awareness of the wealth of local information available to them in the archives.
