If you have an interest in the Great War and in finding out about the stories of local people involved in the war, you will find this talk fascinating.
Anne Fraser, Family Historian of the Highland Archive Service, has used her investigative talents to uncover a great deal of information about local people who fought and fell, and also some who survived the Great War. Working with colleagues at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery she has investigated the stories attached to objects within the museum collections, such as Death Pennies, which were given to the families of the fallen.
Anne’s talk on this occasion is one in a series of lunchtime lectures “Next of Kin-Remembering the Great War” which are being delivered at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. Anne will be talking about some of the families connected to the items from the Great War which have been donated over the years to the museum by relatives.
If you can find time to go along to this talk, you will find it most interesting.
The talk will take place at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery on 20 October, 1-2 pm.
