Community clean up in Dingwall

A community clean up will be held in Dingwall next weekend.

Organised by High Life Highland’s Countryside Rangers, it will take place at Dingwall Woods on Saturday, February 19 between 11am and 2pm.

Ranger Saranne Bish said: “We will be litter picking, removing garden waste and non-native Rhododendron bushes to improve the woods for local people and wildlife.

“We will also have a fire going and a shelter up so we can stop for hot drinks, but we’d really appreciate anyone’s help to get it all done.

“It’s a great way to stretch your legs and get active outdoors after Christmas.”

Children must be accompanied by an adult and people are asked to bring warm clothing and your own cup and snacks for around the fire, with hot water provided.

Countryside Rangers hold many different events throughout the year, and whilst all are free, the Rangers rely on donations to help protect Highland wildlife and heritage.

Booking is essential.
