We would like to assure our customers that we are following national guidance regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and we are working closely with other partners in the Highlands to ensure we are doing all we can to maintain our service delivery across the region.
We are monitoring information and advice released by the Government and Public Health Scotland regarding the spread and containment of COVID-19.
We are keeping our facilities open and have no plans to cancel any activities and at the present time are operating business as usual.
In line with the Scottish Government’s advice regarding the cancellation of gatherings of over 500 people, we have made the difficult decision to cancel two upcoming events as a precaution. The MacRobert Cup in Inverness on Wednesday 18th March and the Highland Young Musicians Concert in Aviemore on Saturday 21st March.
We are aware the Scottish Government will be issuing further guidance regarding large-scale events over the weekend and we will undertake any actions that may be necessary as a result and issue further communication on what this means for events planned with High Life Highland as early as possible.
We will post regular updates here on the website as well as on our social media channels for site specific information.
In the meantime, we would ask that if you feel unwell or have any of the symptoms regardless of whether you have visited any of the countries being monitored please refer to NHS guidance https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ then we would ask that you do not attend any of our venues.
We have increased the number of hand sanitisers and cleaning products in venues and would encourage customers to use them regularly.
We ask you to help us maintain a clean and healthy space by paying attention to personal hygiene, particularly in respect of frequent and thorough washing of hands and the immediate and safe disposal of used tissues.
If you are attending a leisure centre and using the machines, equipment or mats in gyms, then please continue to wipe and sanitise BEFORE and AFTER use.
For more information, we would suggest you familiarise yourself with the most up to date information by checking the latest information www.gov.scot/coronavirus-covid-19/ or www.nhsinform.scot
