People living in Culloden and the surrounding area are invited to get to know the facilities on offer at their local leisure centre when an Open Day is held there on Saturday 25 February 2023.
The Culloden Leisure Centre benefited from upgrading to the facility recently, as part of an ongoing programme to upgrade gyms across the High Life Highland network. Since the gym reopened after its refit, people using the facility have been able to use the extensive range of new equipment now available. This includes the following equipment: treadmills, synchro, vario, skill row, bike, shoulder press, dual leg extension / leg curl, chess press, bench with various weights of dumbells and resistance bands and a cable resistance machine.
Provost of Inverness and area, Glynis Sinclair, said:
“I’m delighted that the people of Culloden and the surrounding area now have access to improved gym facilities here at the Culloden Leisure Centre. I know that many people will be keen to find out more about what is on offer and I would encourage everyone to come along to find out more on the Open Day coming up soon on Saturday 25 February.”
Mark Tate, chair of the HLH Board, said:
“Enabling access to leisure, swimming and gym facilities for communities throughout the Highlands is key for High Life Highland. We are keen to support the wellbeing of communities across Highland, particularly during this time of increasing pressures on finances. Our highlife membership offers affordable access to a whole range of facilities, including Culloden Leisure Centre, so come along to the Open Day to find out more about what’s on offer. Anyone interested in joining will be able to find out more about the affordable membership options available and sign up on the day too!”
Richie Hanna, Culloden Leisure Centre manager, said:
“We are inviting everyone in the local area to come along to our Open Day at the Culloden Leisure Centre and find out more about the equipment now available in our gym following the upgrade at the turn of the year. We will have activities to come and try including aqua circuits, yoga, indoor cycling, bar bell and circuits. We will also have a range of activities in the games hall, including badminton, table tennis, short tennis, basketball (for 8 – 11 year olds) and gymnastics (for all primary school age children). Booking is essential for all activities.
Make sure you put the date in your diary and come along to explore what is on offer – and sign up to a highlife membership if you are interested too, giving you and your family the option to get access to a wide range of facilities at an affordable price!”
