High Life Highland today announced that after a board meeting yesterday the Charity has decided an intended price increase for highlife memberships from 1st April will be suspended until further notice.
Steve Walsh Chief Executive of the Charity said: “In light of the COVID-19 situation the Charity has taken the decision not to implement a planned price increase to highlife individual and family memberships for the time-being and keep it subject to ongoing review.
“I am aware a proportion of our customers, for whom we do not have email addresses have received letters today informing them of the increase. These letters had to be planned weeks in advance and were organised to be delivered today before the full extent and speed of the coronavirus impact was understood.”
“I would like to reassure our customers that the increase will not be applied on 1st April and apologise for any uncertainty the letter may have caused. We will get back in touch with our customers when we have come through this current situation.”
Mr Walsh concluded, “In the meantime, I would wish to thank the many highlife members that have been in touch to say they will be continuing to pay their subscriptions effectively as a donation, to support HLH staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”
