High Life Highland have managed to secure a space at the Nairn Seaman’s Hall, a venue ideally placed for delivery of Nairn Leisure’s additional fitness classes, working in partnership with Nairn-based charity Green Hive.

Green Hive is a thriving and sustainable community hub, which aims to enable happier Nairnshire people in a happier environment, aligning perfectly with High Life Highland’s core aim of making lives better.

Richard Hanna, High Life Highland’s Leisure Manager for Nairn, said: “Currently, Nairn Leisure Centre has been able to provide only a limited fitness programme due to lack of hall space versus demand within the town.

“In response to feedback from current members, we are delighted with the opportunity to work together with Green Hive to share the space at Nairn Seaman’s Hall, where a more varied fitness programme can be offered year-round.

“Both Green Hive and High Life Highland are registered charities with similar goals, so this partnership which allows for an extension to the Nairn Leisure Centre fitness programme was a natural step forward for both organisations.

“By partnering up, Nairn Leisure Centre is now able to provide further activities for current highlife members, for new highlife members, for the wider local community, and for new residents to the area looking at fun and engaging ways to improve their health and fitness.”

Fiona Kier, Green Hive’s Operations Officer, added: “Green Hive are delighted to be partnering with High Life Highland to offer more opportunities for the community to be active.

“We look forward to welcoming highlife members, and members of the community, into Seaman’s Hall.

“A few of our Green Hive volunteers have already mentioned they intend to try something new, such as these new classes, so already we feel the partnership is off to a great start!”
