Over 750 primary school pupils from Inverness and the surrounding area donned their trainers and determination yesterday (26 March) in a bid to bag a podium finish at the one of the Highland’s most prestigious sporting events!
The 20th McRobert Cup was held again this year at Torvean Park, which offers runners a fun and challenging course in beautiful surroundings. The race for Highland primary school pupils is proving more popular than ever with a record number of entries.
The weather proved favourable and with lots of family and friends there to support the runners from 36 different schools, the atmosphere was electric. With thanks to Cllr Alex Graham, Cllr Michael Gregson and High Life Highland Board Member David Finlayson who presented the medals and trophies on the day.
Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winners.
