Inverness Leisure offer swimming lessons for children from 6 months old, right up to adults of any age.  Our experienced team can deliver the full range of strokes and swimming skills, and work with non-swimming beginners right through to club entry standards.

Adult & Child Swimming Lessons

Stage 1 – aged 6 months – 1 year.

 Stage 2 – aged 1 – 2 years.

Stage 3 – aged 2 – 3 years.

Stage 4 – aged 3 – 4 years.

Learn to Swim Programme

The High Life Highland Learn To Swim Programme is for children from 4 years of age, and includes all the key swimming strokes and skills your child needs to become a competent and safe swimmer over the course of 6 Levels.We want every child to be able to enjoy swimming as a life-long activity for fun,fitness or even competition.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Inverness Leisure offers Adult Swimming Lessons.  Whatever your age and ability, we will meet you at your level and help you to improve.  We have Beginner and Improver lessons – our team will discuss with you which level would be most suitable.

Love to Swim 1:1 and 1:2 Lessons

Our team is able to offer premium 1:1 swimming lessons for both adults and children, or 1:2 lessons for siblings or friends of a similar age and ability.  These bespoke lessons are an ideal option for customers of all age and abilities, and our experienced instructors will help you to achieve your swimming goals.

Our swimming lessons timetable follows the school term dates, they do not run on Highland Council school holidays or in-service days.  Please see below confirmed dates for  lessons during 2024/25. Remember to check our alterations page for swimming lessons alterations/cancellations due to event bookings.

Winter Term

Lessons start on Monday 28th October – Last day of term will be Friday 20th December 2024

Spring Term

Lessons start on Monday 6th January – Last day of term will be Saturday 5th April 2025

Summer Term

Lessons start on Tuesday 22nd April – Last day of term will be Thursday 3rd July 2025
