Resulting from an annual competition, the Bird Photographer of the Year (BPOTY) exhibition showcases the very best bird images captured by professional and amateur photographers from around the globe.  BPOTY is the leading international photographic competition on the topic of birds and receives approximately 23,000 entries from over 70 countries, from which 60-80 winning images are selected to form a truly memorable, stunning, and inspiring exhibition.  The images displayed are a reflection of the incredible work of a huge diversity of contemporary bird enthusiasts and nature lovers from all over the world. The show is a celebration of avian splendour and the photographers’ passion for ornithology and conservation.

The overall winner for 2023 is Grab the Bull by the Horns by Jack Zhi.  It features a female falcon attacking a brown pelican with great speed and agility.  His image also won the Gold Award in the Bird Behaviour category.  The Young Bird Photographer of the Year is 17-year-old Anton Trexler with his image Blue Hour and Red Moon. #BirdPOTY #InvMAG
