‘What Bones Can Tell Us’: Human Osteo-Archaeology and Forensics
After nearly forty years in the NHS (as a General Practitioner and an Emergency Medicine Consultant), North of Scotland Archaeology Society (NOSAS) member Andrew Newton now specialises in bringing the history of medicine to life through re-enactment and has featured in Meet the Ancestors, Diseases & Dynasties and on the Discovery Channel. Using examples of Rosemarkie Man and others, this session includes a talk and workshop on skeletal interpretation from an archaeological perspective. Suitable for age 14 plus, it will include images of human remains and skeletons, and the presence of human skeletal elements. Booking is required, email us or call 01349 781730.
