The Rosemarkie Caves Project

Wednesday 18 May 2016, 1- 2pm, Room to DiscoverCait13

Members from The Rosemarkie Caves Project, a partnership between people living locally and the North of Scotland Archaeology Society (NOSAS), assisted and advised by professional archaeologists will present findings from their investigation of the archaeology of the caves; exploring who has used them, and when.

The evidence so far suggests that the caves were certainly in use from 300BC, with furher evidence suggesting a Pictish phase of occupation from around 600 to 700AD.

Join us to find out more about these, until recently, largely unexplored caverns and the secrets they hold.

£3.50.  Booking is essential, in person at Inverness Museum & Art Gallery, call 01463 237114 or email Cait
