Species on the Edge

Species on the Edge is a conservation project focusing on how to protect some of Scotland’s most vulnerable coastal species. In collaboration with the project, the ‘Sutherland Stitchers’, based in Dornoch, created an embroidery panel highlighting six of the species at risk on the east coast – Arctic and Common terns; Bordered Brown lacewing; Northern Brown Argus and Small Blue butterflies; and the Purple Oxytropis plant. The exhibition will feature stunning photographs, by members of the conservation project, alongside the embroidery panel.
