From the 18th October onwards, the Lochaber Archive Centre will be launching its own monthly ‘Archive Afternoons’, an initiative that has been extremely successful across the other three centres. These afternoon’s will give the public the opportunity to learn something new, chat with staff and other visitors, and interact with our collections in a fun and informal atmosphere.
To begin the monthly sessions, Ken Johnston, a regular user of our archives and the former Head of Planning for the Highland Council in Lochaber, will be delivering a presentation on the history of the Charles Kennedy Building. Accompanying this will be a curated display with items from our collections on the theme of ‘Buildings and Built Heritage’. Entry is free. We hope to see you there.
