Merkinch Community Centre Association (MCCA) is a charitable company limited by guarantee and supported by High Life Highland. It has been running for over 30 years. MCCA have a board of three Trustees who are strategically responsible for the overall operation of the company. The centre is run on a day-to-day basis by High Life Highland staff in liaison with the Centre Chairperson. Apart from a modest annual grant from the Highland Council, the Board of Directors of the Community Centre are responsible for generating income to cover all costs, including heat, lighting and insurances. The Management Committee is made up of elected user group representatives and members of the company elected at the AGM.
The Centre could not operate without the support of volunteers who give up their time to make the Centre the success it is.
Merkinch Community Centre is at the heart of Merkinch and is a meeting place for everyone in the community and across the country.
