Over the past year we have continued to add to our collections with a variety of small but interesting deposits. These include the original plans for a Portree church built in 1895, a set of driving licences charting the international career of Broadford-born banker John MacLeod (1893-1988) and a collection of 16mm amateur films of Skye shot during the 1970s, complete with projector. During November a new series of classes began, introducing sources for researching ancestors who fought in the First World War. Due to the popularity of the class, we are offering it again in 2017, running from the end of February.
