To help support leaders gain and/or maintain their professional qualifications, High Life Highland have arranged a number of Hill and Moorland Leader Training and Assessment courses for the 2022 season ahead. This is a recognised industry course which supersedes the previous walking & camping in-house qualification and will be delivered by Sandy Paterson from Scotch on the Rocks Guiding.
Course dates planned for 2022
- MT Hill & Moorland Leader Assessment, 25-27 March 2022 ( 3 places)
- MT Hill & Moorland Leader Training, 6-8 May 2022 (6 places)
- MT Hill & Moorland Leader Assessment, 30 Sept – 2 Oct 2022 (4 places)
These courses will take place outdoors and likely to be delivered in the Grantown/Cromdale area again.
The full cost of attending either the training or assessment course is £200 per person.
Funding for the courses may also be available from a number of different sources including Mountain Training as well as from THC/HLH to help cover part or the full course costs.
